Company Information:

The word Aryan is derived from arya” which in the Indian and Persian languages means “exalted” or “noble one”. ARYAN, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, lives up to this description by serving truly authentic Northern Indian cuisine presented in a contemporary, chic fine dining setting harmoniously combining traditional elements of rich colourful Indian culinary flavours with the softer touches of modern day decor elegance.”

Opening Hours:

Mon-Sat 12pm-10pm, Sunday by Reservation Only

  • Restaurant: Singgah Selalu
  • Location: Danga Bay, Johor Bahru
  • Highlights: This place has everything! I grew up dining here with my family and chilling with my friends until the wee hours of the night. It’s very lively during football seasons where the place will be decorated in your favorite teams’ colors. It’s very airy as you can get the breeze from the sea. They started with only serving Malay food, but now they have everything from Malay, to Chinese, Indian, Western and even Thai food! Truly a Malaysian hang out dining place!

  • Restaurant: Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa
  • Location: The Strand, Kota Damansara
  • Highlights: Its humble beginning started in 1973, now it has spread its wings all over the nation’s capital which is convenient because I don’t have to go to Kampung Baru for the famous nasi lemak. Unlike back in 1973, now we can enjoy our plate of nasi lemak in a comfy air conditioned room while watching a television. The restaurant is kept clean and its green and white theme keeps the place feeling harmonious. However, I didn’t enjoy the food much. It’s all modern and modified and whatnot. The taste is fine, but it’s missing its traditional feel of nasi lemak. I still prefer my nasi lemak in the banana leaf.
  • Recommended food: The nasi lemak of course, but the menu spreads to mee goreng mamak, banana fritters and banana split ice cream. The nasi lemak has a selection of side dishes ranging from chicken, squid, bergedel (deep fried mashed potato) and so on.

  • Restaurant: TGI Friday’s
  • Location: Sunway Pyramid
  • Highlights: This American-styled restaurant is famous worldwide. It’s aimed at casual dining where family and friends come to have a good time while eating good food – and I mean it – good food! They come in generous serving, just like the Americans like it. The friendly service makes it pleasant to stay longer than necessary. The deco is originally American, the country famous for its fast food in big portions.
  • Recommended food: Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Quesadillas – Flour tortilla packed with sauteed chicken, tomato-basil mix, beef bacon and oozing with cheese. Buffalo Wings – Traditional upstate New York-style chicken wings marinated in spicy sauce, then deep-fried.

  • Restaurant: Teh Tarik Place
  • Location: the Curve
  • Highlights: A basic re-evaluation of our beloved neighbourhood Mamak stall/restaurant. With the clean interiors, contemporary setting, cozy and laid-back ambience, Teh Tarik Place is the ideal place for people from all walks of life to unwind and gather together with friends and family for a cuppa and a bite.
  • Recommended food: The Curry Laksa, Asam Laksa, Mee Goreng Mamak and Tosai are popular here. And of course, the Teh Tarik.

  • Restaurant: Italiannies,
  • Location: The Gardens
  • Highlights: A typical Italian restaurant. For a pricey choice, it could do better. I mean, the atmosphere and deco are nice and all, but the foods aren’t as consistent as it should be, considering its reputation. And the waiters should be more attentive, I think.
  • Recommended food: Fetuccine in Creamy Carbonara – but that day it just wasn’t as creamy as I’d liked it. It was topped with smoked beef bacon, turkey ham and fresh mushrooms which I found are a bit underdone, although I can imagine some people would maybe find it fine. The Risotto is always a good choice, too. However, I’ve had the experience of it being slightly spicy and an earthy undone. Be aware of the mussels in this dish as they might come unfresh at times.

  • Restaurant: Carlos Mexican Canteena
  • Location: Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur
  • Highlights: The ambiance is great. Airy, cozy, dim lights to give you the feeling of privacy, and good music playing. This is a Mexican restaurant with a bit of the middle-eastern restaurant feeling to it, I guess because they also had Shisha. The service is excellent; the food came faster than the drinks! Maybe because this place is a bit pricey, I noticed that most people come here for special occasions as there were more than two birthdays celebrated in just a night.
  • Recommended food: Burritos (deep fried?! but they were good!) and the Potato Skins.

  • Restaurant: Carnaval Churrascaria
  • Location: Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya
  • Highlights: This Brazilian restaurant is the place to be for all the meat you can eat! “Churrascaria” means barbecue place, so you know what to expect here!
  • Recommended food: Grilled buns with garlic and sour cream, Roasted pineapple, Roasted honey chicken ham, Lamb leg, Lamb shoulder, Cow leg, Prawns, Fish, Chicken liver and gizzard – all barbecued!

  • Restaurant: Al-Andalus
  • Location: Jalan Damai, Kuala Lumpur (near Ampang)
  • Highlights: This double-storey bungalow was made into a nice and cozy Moroccon retaurant. Situated along a dark street, the restaurant was decorated with colourful lights. The first floor consists of outdoor and indoor dining areas. Inside are mostly families having a quiet meal whereas outside is occupied by Shisha smokers. Upstairs is my favourite; a balcony dining area decorated with colourful carpets, drapes and cushions where you can laze around while enjoying a nice dinner with your friends.
  • Recommended food: The chicken, mutton and beef kebabs and sandwiches are awesome here. But if you crave for a heavier meal, their couscous (also with chicken, beef or mutton) are highly recommended!

  • Restaurant: Nasi Kandar Line Clear
  • Location: 177 Jalan Penang, Pulau Pinang
  • Highlights: This nasi kandar stall has been in existence for 45 years! Line Clear is actually rather hidden from the bigger restaurants along Penang Road. It is in a small, narrow lane off Penang Road. The taste of their curries is so unlike the mass produced new outlets. Line Clear curries have that balance of spices in their curries and do not leave your tastebuds with too much flavour of only certain spices. It tastes justttttt riggghtttt.
  • Recommended food: Nasi kandar with (fish head) curry, squids, okra, and pretty much anything you want! Although the rotis are good here, too, the nasi kandar always takes the trophy in Line Clear.
