Review: Singgah Selalu
Posted March 23, 2010
on:- Restaurant: Singgah Selalu
- Location: Danga Bay, Johor Bahru
- Highlights: This place has everything! I grew up dining here with my family and chilling with my friends until the wee hours of the night. It’s very lively during football seasons where the place will be decorated in your favorite teams’ colors. It’s very airy as you can get the breeze from the sea. They started with only serving Malay food, but now they have everything from Malay, to Chinese, Indian, Western and even Thai food! Truly a Malaysian hang out dining place!

Review: Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa
Posted March 23, 2010
on:- Restaurant: Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa
- Location: The Strand, Kota Damansara
- Highlights: Its humble beginning started in 1973, now it has spread its wings all over the nation’s capital which is convenient because I don’t have to go to Kampung Baru for the famous nasi lemak. Unlike back in 1973, now we can enjoy our plate of nasi lemak in a comfy air conditioned room while watching a television. The restaurant is kept clean and its green and white theme keeps the place feeling harmonious. However, I didn’t enjoy the food much. It’s all modern and modified and whatnot. The taste is fine, but it’s missing its traditional feel of nasi lemak. I still prefer my nasi lemak in the banana leaf.
- Recommended food: The nasi lemak of course, but the menu spreads to mee goreng mamak, banana fritters and banana split ice cream. The nasi lemak has a selection of side dishes ranging from chicken, squid, bergedel (deep fried mashed potato) and so on.
